When the flats are cold and the bay is rough, rivers are the key to great fishing.
Local rivers surrounding Tampa Bay are teeming with fish during the colder months. The Manatee and Little Manatee are primed to fish for snook, red fish, trout and many other species. The drive south to these rivers is well worth it. Captain Rick and his family have been fishing these rivers for decades. While on the rivers it is not uncommon to see tarpon or alligators. Another benefit of river fishing is that it does not matter how hard the wind is blowing, the river affords calm water.
